What have we come to
when someone seeks out and murder a man who was such a positive force in his community? I don’t know the details behind this murder, but
I equate it with the likes of murdering Malcolm X and Tupac. Both men from the streets,
not perfect…….had a past……..but who they were to their people: Unapologetically
black, influential, Leaders who used their powerful platforms to uplift and aggressively
promote positive change the culture. ………#HUSTLEANDMOTIVATE.
I’m tired of saying
RIP to our leaders, our beloved entertainers, and our people. I’m tired…….this
has to stop!! How does it stop!……………..We have to stop becoming immune to murder
– just because it happens often, does not mean it is normal or rational
behavior. In fact its insanity!! We have to start pushing love and hope like Nino
Brown pushed dope!! We have to……..black hearts kill with no remorse………Haters we
call them…….People who hate themselves…….We have to break the curse of self-hate,
period……. ‘The Willie
Lynch Syndrome’ is alive and well anywhere
you have active gang culture among people of color……….we have created our own holocaust…..and
the blood is on all our hands.
My condolences to
the families who lost a loved one in the shooting. My condolences to the
culture, because we lost a “real one” in Nipsty Hussle.
Cartilage, found in joints and the disks of the spine, contains around 80 percent water. Long-term dehydration can reduce the joints’ shock-absorbing ability, leading to joint pain.
2. It forms saliva and mucus
Saliva helps us digest our food and keeps the mouth, nose, and eyes moist. This prevents friction and damage. Drinking water also keeps the mouth clean. Consumed instead of sweetened beverages, it can also reduce tooth decay.
3. It delivers oxygen throughout the body
Blood is more than 90 percent water, and blood carries oxygen to different parts of the body.
4. It boosts skin health and beauty
With dehydration, the skin can become more vulnerable to skin disorders and premature wrinkling.
5. It cushions the brain, spinal cord, and other sensitive tissues
According to the Chicago Tribune charges against Jussie
Smollett the ‘Empire Star’ who faked a hate-crime attack on himself have been
Jussie still maintains that he is telling the truth.
Pardon my French, but YOOOOO Oh Boy is about the Blow UP!!!
His plan worked!! It is alleged that he did this for more money and more fame.
I say check mate! Jussie may be let go from Empire, but trust me this brother
is about the get paid.
I for one am glad the charges were dropped. I mean… come on
we talking Chi – town, how are you going to give someone that much time for a
crime that really wasn’t committed when you have real murderers on the street. The only person Jussie hurt was himself. Yes,
I understand the real crime was trying to trick the justice system………but let’s
be real, who isn’t? I know, I know, I’m
making light of it, but the truth is the only person this man hurt was himself and
his reputation……………but only for the moment.
At the end of the day……….this is a win – win situation for
Jussie, he will get the help that he needs and he got the extra fame he was
looking for. He will be either on Gail Kings or Oprah’s Couch. And he will be
for sure on Ayana Vansant’s ‘Fix My Life’. Oooooohhhhh and she gone gettem………listen
Jussie will give her the biggest ratings she has ever had.
After the drama, we will forget why he is so dang famous!! Jussie is handsome and gay in hollywood, please… he was never going to jail. The Gay community is strong and powerful……they were not playing them games.
You’ve read a few posts and articles from people on the One Meal a Day diet (OMAD) who say they’ve lost weight by eating once a day.
It all sounds very simple and easy, and you’re thinking about giving it a try.
Does eating once a day get results? Can you really pig out every night and still lose weight? Or is the OMAD diet just going to mess up your metabolism and wreak havoc with your hormones?
What Is the OMAD diet?
The idea behind the OMAD diet is very simple. You eat one big meal whenever you want, although most people prefer to do so at night. That meal is where you get most of your calories for the day.
Because all your food for the day is squeezed into one meal, you don’t have to exercise much restraint. On the OMAD diet you get to eat, within reason, whatever you like. As a result, you finish that meal feeling full and satisfied.
During the rest of the day, your calorie intake is minimal. You’re allowed some light snacks, maybe a protein shake after you’ve been to the gym. But that’s about it.
OMAD Origins: The Warrior Diet
The first time I came across the idea of eating once a day was in the late 1990’s, in a book called The Warrior Diet.
Written by former Penthouse health and fitness editor Ori Hofmekler, The Warrior Diet describes the many great and wonderful things that will happen when you switch to eating once a day.
Just use your body like it’s designed and you won’t need to fix it all the time.

Nutrition & Our Hybrid Body In the 1950’s, my friend Bill was a very gifted Engineer who made an extraordinary car. It looked very similar to a Chevrolet Corvette, but the insides of the car is what made it so unique. It wasn’t the first Hybrid car, but it was much more practical and appealing than its predecessors. There was one snag: it never took off because he couldn’t get people to use it properly. The car’s main fuel source was electricity, and gasoline was to be put in whenever available. It was fine for the car to use gasoline every other day or so, but the problem was that people ran it on gasoline nearly 90% of the time. This resulted in…

Former president and noted basketball enthusiast Barack Obama revealed his NCAA tournament brackets just in time for March Madness 2019, continuing a tradition he began while he was in the Oval Office. Okay, I know I’m late with this… But the cover the February
issue of Essence Magazine was Super-Hot. I mean three generations of intelligence, fierceness,
beauty!! The ladies of ‘RED TABLE TALK’ killed it!!!
I don’t know about you, but I love, love, love, Red Table
Talk. And what a comeback for Jada Pinkett – Smith. I mean seriously, she is
the new age Oprah Winfrey. I think when the Oprah Show went off the air, Jada was like, It’s time I stepped
in. And what a great job she is doing,
her subject matters are ones that we all can relate to. And it is genius to
only have it on FB. It really makes it
very personal. Let’s face it, the Smiths are winning………..in such a strong,
classy and positive way!
Let’s talk Willow Smith, I’m sure I’m not the only one who
was a bit worried about her in her younger years. But OMG she has grown into
such a loving, super smart, beautiful, young woman. I mean she is the daughter of Will and Jada
Smith, yet she possess this kindness and humility that comes across very
genuine….she is like a little twinkle of light………..and she is absolutely
gorgeous!!!! She has really found her look with her natural hair……….and sweet
heart if you are reading this, please don’t cut it off again;-).Willow is truly
super model material. We met her once as a child with her number one hit ‘Whip
my hair’ and now we are introduced to her again as a woman, and she is such a
breath of fresh air. I know that this woman we see on ‘The Red Table’ will be
able to continue the legacy that the Smith family has created and continue
create in Entertainment.
Wait a minute – what about
the Grandma, huh!!! Yasss, Adrienne is giving me hope, life and AARP goals…Yasss,
65 is the new 45….at 65 she is in better shape than some 21 year olds I know.
On the ‘Red Table Talk’ I love her candidness and transparency. I love that she has shared her pain and her evolution.
Human beings need that. We need to know that we are not alone in our struggles.…….That
we are not the first and we won’t be the last, and if our sista can get through
it and prosper then so can we.
I want to say thank you to all of the ladies of the Red
Table Talk for bringing real, hard, conversations to all of us, right at our
fingertips on our smart phones. It’s hard out here, and in the grand scheme of things…
It’s true, that we really need each other. And the “Red Table Talk” is doing
just that…….. It is what makes the Red Table Talk episodes empowering and healing.
If you have not
already done so be sure to purchase the February issue of Essence Magazine and be
sure check out all of the episodes of Red Table Talk on FB – You have my word,
you will not be disappointed.

Last night in the Brooklyn
Nets vs Sacramento Kings game, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, helped broker one of
the biggest comebacks in NBA History. Only 4 other NBA teams have been able to
make a comeback after being 25 points down in a game and last night, thanks to the
humble Brooklyn Nets forward, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, the Brooklyn nets will
go down in history as one of those teams.
I like Rondae, he is a great person off the court, so it
does not surprise me that he has what it takes to bring the right energy to the
court, especially when it matters the most. That faith, that enthusiasm, that
energy…..it’s like magic. And last night
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson was the magician that Hit the GAME-WINNING SHOT that put
the Brooklyn Nets IN DA HOUSE!!!! THE SACRAMENTO KINGS DID NOT KNOW WHAT
Don’t take my word for it, click the video below and check it out for yourself!!
